One good laugh
This movie doesn't really do it justice, but during the recital, Smith was able to get one good laugh out of the crowd. During one of the songs called, "Dance as Fast as You Want to," the vocalist says, "Now freeze like a statue!" Because Smith is absolutely incapable of standing still, he shouted out, "I am a walking statue!" after which, he stiffly shuffled across the stage, which induced a few laughs. After Smith's walking statue impersonation, there is about 15 seconds of the kids jumping around on stage.

That was soooooo cute - I totally get what you mean about watching your kid on stage. It's just entrancing. I tried to post Chase's entire Christmas program, but it was too long for youtube.
Josh Holyoak here. Just noticed the link to your blog from Pete's and my jaw hurts from grinning. Smith sounds like quite the character. I especially like the vocabulary post.
Anyway, don't you guys live in Colorado? Well, whether or not you do, we're on our way there in June. Hopefully you ARE there and we can hang out.
