Smith is 7!

Smith turned 7!

We fulfilled his birthday wish by heading down to Legoland.

Per Smith's request: white cake, with strawberry mouse and
chocolate frosting in between with vanilla frosting.

We stayed in Del Mar and spent the next day at a Dog Surf-a-thon.

The kids loved it, we loved Del Mar, and Smith LOVED his birthday.

First Grade

All ready for First Grade.

Smith, Aiden, Maggie, Mia and Chloe.

His teacher is Ms. Voltaggio -or Ms. V. She told the kids to pick the desk they wanted and Smith picked the very front.

Day One was a success! It was 110 degrees out and the kids were melting, but he had a great day!

So literal

Adam and the kids made a huge fort in the family room over the weekend.

Dad: "Who wants to be the president?"

Laine and Smith: "I DO! I DO! I DO!"

Dad: "Well, maybe we should have a meeting to decide."

Laine, with squeals of delight: "Oh!! I want to be the meeting!"

Smith, with disgust: "You can't be the meeting, Laine. It's a group of people!"

To Dad:

"Utes won that was fun. BYU lost because they" the back continues: "were too slow."

Still obsessed with Star Wars Legos,

plays with his sisters,

loves Rosey, and now the Dodgers,

and loves to read! What could be better?

This is one brave kid! Not a whimper and he even passed up ice cream to go back to school (still bloody) to show off his new grin. "I'll get used to it eventually Mom."
